SEMF strengthened international partnerships at the Hosts & Federations Summit 2026
Sport Event Management Finland attended the Hosts & Federations Summit 2026 in Lausanne from 29 June to 2 July together with host city representatives from Lahti, Tampere and Helsinki. The Hosts & Federations Summit brings together host destinations, international sports rights holders and commercial partners to exchange knowledge, strengthen relationships and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
The programme offered valuable insights into international sporting events and provided an excellent opportunity for discussion. Beyond the programme, the Summit also reinforced our confidence in Finland’s position as a host country. While our events are often smaller in scale than those in many larger destinations, our expertise, sustainability, operational quality, and use of technology align with international best practices.
The valuable discussions and new connections made in Lausanne will contribute to SEMF’s ongoing work to develop Finland as an attractive, responsible and internationally competitive destination for sports events.
