Falling Leaves Lahti wraps up NGS season – European Gravel Championships headed to Finland in 2027
Nordic Gravel Series (NGS) events and camps came to a stylish close on September 7–9 with Falling Leaves Lahti Gravel Week, the traditional final highlight of the Finnish gravel cycling season. This marked Lahti’s sixth consecutive year on the NGS schedule.
Riders took in the stunning autumn scenery while tackling the pristine gravel roads of the Lahti and Salpausselkä UNESCO Global Geopark region. Over 500 participants from 33 countries rolled from the start line to the BBQ party and post-ride sauna. The event featured routes of 50, 100, 145, and 180 km, with the 180 km course serving as the official distance for the Gravel Earth Series.
With a strong reputation in the gravel scene, Lahti is set to return to the NGS calendar next year – and will also host the European Gravel Championships in July 2027.
