Helsinki hosted elite figure skaters at the ISU Finlandia Trophy Grand Prix
Helsinki was in the spotlight of the whole skating world from November 21 to 22, 2025, when it hosted an ISU Grand Prix event, the Finlandia Trophy Helsinki. The world’s top figure skaters in men’s, women’s, ice dance, and pairs took over the Helsinki Ice Hall, including several Olympic, World, and European medalists.
The event was part of the prestigious Grand Prix series, which consists of six competitions held from October to November. Skaters accumulated points at each event to qualify for the Grand Prix Final, which took place this year in Nagoya, Japan, on December 4–7. The top six skaters or teams in each of the four categories earned their spot in the Final.
