Sport Event Management Finland at the Hosts & Federations Summit 2025
Sport Event Management Finland (SEMF) was happy to attend the Hosts & Federations Summit 2025 in Lausanne, Switzerland, organised by Major Events International Ltd. Together with eight Finnish host city representatives, we had the opportunity to showcase Finland’s strengths, from unique regional features to sustainable event delivery and world-class venues.
The summit offered insightful panels, future-focused workshops, and vibrant networking. But most importantly, it sparked meaningful conversations with rights holders and federations across a wide range of sports.
“From our perspective at SEMF, the event was incredibly rewarding. Our joint presence in the seminar program gave Finland strong visibility and helped raise awareness about our country and the opportunities we offer. We met with several event rights holders, and we’re now moving forward with them to bring new events to Finland in the coming years”, says SEMF’s Project Director Jani Backman.
