World´s happiest country

Happiness – it´s our nature!

For the fifth year in a row, Finland is number one when it comes to happiness. The country consistently ranks among the top education systems in the world. Much of that success comes from a widespread reverence for teachers, who are required to have a master’s degree, and their education is state-funded.  Also the pedagogical system in Finland focuses less on quantitative testing and more on experiential learning and equal opportunity.

The country of vast forests and lakes is also known for its well-functioning public services, over two million saunas, widespread trust in authority and low levels of crime and inequality. Finnish people also experience higher levels of balance and harmony.

The world happiness report is based on people’s own evaluation of their happiness, as well as economic and social data. It assigns a happiness score on a scale of 0 to 10, based on an average of data over three years.
